I am lead councillor for Housing and Neighbourhoods on Reading Borough Council elected in 2010 and immediately after retaking control of the council became a cabinet member. I am the lead councillor for Adult Social Care in Reading and was lead member for Housing and Neighbourhoods from 2011-2013.

I have led successful campaigns both locally and borough wide and as well as members build alliances with voluntary sector and single issue campaigners. I am active on social media as well as on the doorstep.

I am a former CLP chair and Women's officer and continue to serve on the Reading and District party EC.

Professionally I am a qualified management accountant having previously worked for a software company I now am a professional trainer. In my private life I am a mum to two small children and married to a teacher.

I am used to speaking in a variety of contexts.
