JOIN LWN AT OUR 'LET'S TALK' EVENT TO DISCUSS WOMEN IN SMALL BUSINESS with:
- Rushanara Ali, Member of Parliament for Bethnal Green & Bow, and Shadow Minister for Investment and Small Business
- Patricia Hamzahee, Co-Founder of GiveBLACK, Board Member of Social Enterprise UK, Big Society Capital Investment Committee Member and Co-founder of Extend Ventures
- Laura Pomfret, Founder of Financielle, BBC Finance Expert, and winner of The Inspiring Women Award, Telegraph Top 100 Female Entrepreneurs to Watch and Apple App of the Day
Less than a third of UK small businesses are owned by women, according to data from Simply Business in 2023. So join LWN Director Claire Reynolds as she leads a discussion about how a future Labour Government may help create the policy conditions to smash entrepreneurial ceilings, create a more socially just market, and inspire a new generation of diverse women business owners.
Register below to attend our Let's Talk Women in Small Business event, on Tuesday, 20th February from 8pm.
These events are open to all women members of the Labour Party (or those who support the aims of the Labour Party), and while membership of LWN isn't necessary to attend, we hope that you consider joining LWN here (if you are not already a member) as we are only able to provide these activities because of LWN members' subs and fundraising.
Labour Women’s Network doesn’t take policy positions but our ‘Let’s Talk’ events make a feminist space for important discussions, to be had, that affect women.
Safeguarding and Zoom Etiquette - we expect all LWN events to be conducted in an atmosphere of sisterly respect, abusive or inappropriate behaviour will not be tolerated and participants may be asked to leave.
We will record this event to share on LWN website and social media, however this will be announced at the event and time given to amend video/name display settings should you wish.
Please be aware, we if you have signed up to this event but have unsubscribed or opted out of our emails, due to GDPR we are unable to communicate with you, and we cannot overwrite the system – Sorry! You can sign-up again to give us permission to email you here.
