We warmly welcome LWN members to attend our virtual Annual General Meeting (AGM) on Tuesday, 21st September 2021 at 8pm via Zoom.

We aim to practice what we preach, so as part of our #keepthegoodstuff campaign our AGM will now be on a digital platform.  It will be held in an evening a few days before Labour Party Annual Conference and we hope that by moving it online it will allow as many LWN members at attend as possible.

At our AGM we will hear reports, we will announce the results of our Management Committee Elections, and if required make any changes to the constitution.

Members will need to pre-register to attend by the deadline of Thursday, 16th September 2021 at noon. 

This is to allow us enough time to verify all attendees are LWN members, and take appropriate measures to keep members safe. If you have RSVP, but are not eligible to attend (as your are not an LWN member), we will send you an email after the deadline with further information. 

The AGM will start promptly at 8pm, with the virtual waiting room opening from 7.50pm.  There will be a cut off time when the waiting room will close; this will be at 8.05pm, so please join the Zoom call before then.  As with most AGM (virtual or in-person) once the meeting has started you will not be allowed entry.

Verified members will receive an email from us on Monday 20th September with all the Zoom links and security details.  For safeguarding reasons, we ask that you do not share Zoom security links with anyone else.  If you know an LWN member who would like to attend the AGM, please ask them to register separately, however remember the deadline for registration is Thursday, 16^th September 2021 at noon.

It is important that you use the same name for both the AGM registration and your Zoom display name, as we need to verify everyone in the Zoom waiting room (you may not be allowed entry to the meeting if we cannot identify you).

Safeguarding and Zoom Etiquette (please read)

We expect all LWN events to be conducted in an atmosphere of sisterly respect. Abusive or inappropriate behaviour (including offensive screen backdrops/display names) will not be tolerated and participants may be removed.  If our safe space is compromised, we may feel the need to shut down the meeting at short notice. 

It is important that you use your full name you have signed up to the AGM with as your Zoom display name, as we need to verify everyone in the waiting room (you may not be allowed entry to the meeting if we cannot identify you). For safeguarding reasons, you are able to amend your display name once the event has start.
