Trade unions have a proud history of fighting for equality and of having strong and vibrant women's sections.
Indeed, Margaret Bondfield, who is celebrated by LWN every year with a dinner in her honour, was not only the first woman Labour Cabinet Minister; she was also the first woman to chair the TUC General Council in 1923.
LWN works across the labour movement and we are proud to have 6 trade unions affiliated to Labour Women’s Network.
