Are you interested in becoming a Labour MP?
Perhaps you've been thinking about parliamentary selection for some time. Perhaps you've stood before, but want to understand the NEW process.
We are proud that, thanks to campaigning by LWN, Labour's selections will be shorter and cheaper from now on. However, we know that women still can't expect a wholly level playing field in Labour selections, and we're fighting hard to prevent women's representation slipping backwards.
The Labour Party will start to advertise applications are open for parliamentary selection from May, and as we have hit 51% women in the Parliamentary Labour Party, All Women Shortlists can not currently be legally included in these selections. Yet we know that cultrally, women are sometimes still at a disadvantage in the Party. Help us help you stand the very best chance of success.
Join LWN for a functional workshop to inform you of the new procedure and ensure you understand what happens when, which parts you can prepare in advance, and how best to spend your time and resources.
Join LWN Training Lead Nan Sloane and LWN Director Claire Reynolds via Zoom as they explain how Labour's selections will work, and aim to leave you better informed and prepared.

This event is open to women (and those who self-define as women) members of the Labour Party, while membership of LWN isn't necessary to attend this event we hope that you consider joining LWN here.
