We are very excited to invite you to the first online 'In Conversation' event in our 'Persist & Prevail' Month of Action.
We are delighted to announce our guest speaker will be the amazing ZELDA PERKINS!
Our Persist & Prevail Month of Action draws inspiration from a range of brilliant women changemakers to kick-start the year. We want this to take you from inspiration to results, becoming the feminist changemaker we know you are.
So join us on Thursday 15th January 2026 from 8pm, via Zoom, to hear how this amazing woman risked everything to expose a powerful predator and is now actively changing the law to prevent others from being silenced. Hear how Zelda's actions, which were part of the New York Times article that broke the Harvey Weinstein story, helped expose his predatory behaviour and how she is using this to campaign for lasting change of the use of Non-Disclosure Agreements via her organisation 'Can't Buy My Silence'

Zelda Perkins was the first woman to break an NDA in 2017, signed decades earlier with Harvey Weinstein. Her decision to speak out brought the systemic abuse of NDAs to the attention of the British Government and international press. She went on to give evidence at two UK parliamentary inquiries, exposing the widespread misuse of NDAs to silence victims and prompting the Solicitors Regulation Authority to take disciplinary action against the lawyer who drafted Weinstein’s contract.
Since 2017, Zelda has led the fight for legislative and regulatory reform to end the misuse of NDAs. Founding the public facing campaign Can’t Buy My Silence UK in 2021, the campaign has worked with governments in the UK, Ireland, Canada and Australia, achieving successful legislative reforms in several jurisdictions, most significantly achieving major NDA protections in the UK under the Higher Education (Freedom of Speech) Act, The Victims and Prisoners Act and more recently in the Employment Rights Bill and the Victims and Courts Bill, which will together make NDAs void if used to silence victims or witnesses of harassment, discrimination, or crime.
Zelda has received several awards, amongst them she was named a TIME Person of the Year in 2018, recognised as one of The Guardian's Heroes of 2020, and received the 2023 UN Women UK Award for Outstanding Contribution to Gender Equality. Her story was portrayed by Samantha Morton in the Universal Pictures film She Said, which documents her role in exposing Weinstein and challenging the culture of silence that enabled him.
