We are very excited to invite you to an online 'In Conversation' event in our 'Persist & Prevail' Month of Action.
We are delighted to announce our guest speaker will be the amazing strategist, Baroness Deborah Mattinson!
Our Persist & Prevail Month of Action draws inspiration from a range of brilliant women changemakers to kick-start the year. We want this to take you from inspiration to results, becoming the feminist changemaker we know you are.

Baroness Deborah Mattinson is one of the UK's foremost political consultants, strategists, and pollsters. A veteran of several successful Labour campaigns, she is renowned for her expertise in public opinion, particularly her deep understanding of the electorate's changing mood. She currently sits in the House of Lords as a Labour Life Peer.
Deborah was the Director of Strategy for Keir Starmer, from July 2021 until the General Election of July 2024. She is credited as a key figure in devising the electoral strategy that led to the party's landslide victory.
Before being Director of Strategy, Deborah worked with Neil Kinnock, Tony Blair and Gordon Brown, both while Chancellor and Prime Minister.
Outside direct political service, Deborah has had a highly successful career as a business leader and serial entrepreneur in the research and consultancy sector including Founding Opinion Leader Research, Opinion Leader Research, BritainThinks and is now working as a Senior Advisor for the global CEO advisory firm Teneo and providing consultancy to the Washington, D.C.-based think tank, the Progressive Policy Institute (PPI).
Deborah has authored two influential books on public opinion, Talking to a Brick Wall: The Story of the New Labour Years Through the Eyes of the Voters (2010) and Beyond the Red Wall: Why Labour Lost, How the Conservatives Won, and What Happens Next? (2020).

Q. How do I get involved? You need to RSVP to attend. For the zoom events you can register for each session or you can register for them all together (we will still send you a reminder for each session!. For the in-person events you must register separately for each event.
Q. Do I need to be an LWN member? No, this is open to all Labour Party women members. We hope that you'll consider joining LWN but it's the taking part that counts.
Q. Is there a cost? We have made all our 'Persist & Prevail Month of Action' sessions FREE to attend. However, we would love you to make a small donation via our DONATION PAGE to support LWN, maybe £5... Your donations will help LWN continue to support sisters through our training and campaigning, so we appreciate all your support.
Q. Will I receive reminders?
Yes, you'll receive email reminders 7 and 3 days in advance plus 24 hours and 1 hour before the session starts.
Q. Are all the sessions recorded?
No! This session may be recorded by LWN but the full recording will not be made available to watch later.

Q. What's the 'Action Card', how do I use it and do I have to share it with anyone?
You absolutely don't need to share it with anyone (unless you want to). The 'action card' will be sent out with the reminder and is a way for you to write down any takeaways from the session and how you might use your new knowledge in the future. And, at the end of our action-packed month, every participant will receive a final, transformative 'Action Card.' Use it to map your unstoppable journey and solidify your goals for the next 2, 6, 12 months, and beyond.
