You've probably heard of the Matchwomen's Strike of 1888, but there's so much more to know about the first women trade unionists.
Come and hear Labour historian and LWN trainer Nan Sloane and LWN Secretary Kiran Mahil discuss trade unionists from Mary Zog and the Bible bookbinders' strike in 1844 to Mary Macarthur and the chainmakers in 1910, including Emma Paterson, Clementina Black, Julia Varley and Margaret Bondfield along the way.
Never heard of most of them?
Then join us on Thursday, 6th March and find out more about the women on whose shoulders we stand!
