PARLIAMENTARY CANDIDATE SURGERY
As of Monday 29 April, (not including sitting MPs), 47.5% of Labour candidates selected for the next general election are women. This includes seats where the current MP is not standing again (retirement seats). 61% of women candidates in England and Wales are graduates of LWN training programmes or workshops.
We are immensely proud of all the hard work LWN’s has put in to get to this place, be that training hundreds of Labour women over the 4 years, running 13 Process Workshops, or selection surgeries.
Now with many CLP having their Parliamentary candidates in place, we have been running monthly support zooms to help candidates prepare for the General Election. We continue to do this, but with candidates having been selected at different times and therefore missing topics or having ad hoc questions as their campaigns go on, we want to offer an additional opportunity for support.
So, are you a Parliamentary candidate with a burning questions or want to talk over something that is happening in your area? Want to feel and present like a resilient leader and winner? Then join us for our drop-in session.
There is no obligation to stay for the whole hour unless it's useful to you. You can ask questions verbally, in the chat function or by anonymous DM to one of the training team during the session if you would prefer your question to remain unattributed.
(Please be aware that this event is ONLY for Labour women PCC's, those who register who are not, will not be allowed entry).
