Votes for Women We're not great believers in bad news coming first so we're leading with some great news; Jo Cox and Helen Pearce have been re-elected as our Chair and Secretary respectively. Congratulations to them both and we're looking forward to another two years of fantastic feminism. Aspiring Candidate Training Every weekend brings more new of fabulous Labour women becoming PPCs. Many of them are LWN graduates, and you can see our Northern Political Day agenda is packed with successful graduates. If you’d like to come on our course and find out how we can help you to be ready for selection (or for any other goal in the Party) there are still places available on our courses in Watford and Leeds in the autumn. AGM The LWN AGM is our annual democratic event. It is only open to women members of Labour Women's Network. The Annual General Meeting will be held at 10am on Saturday, September 21st, in the Cambridge Room at the Hilton, Brighton. This year, our AGM will be held immediately before National Women’s Conference. This will be inside the secure zone of Conference, and it is essential that you hold a pass. If you do not have a pass (either for the whole of Annual Conference, or a 1-day Women's Conference pass) you will not be able to attend the LWN AGM. To attend the AGM please register on the LWN website www.lwn.org.uk/events Other Organisations' Events Saturday 7 September 2013, 9am-3pm, Camden town Hall, Judd Street, King’s Cross, London WC1H 9JE Progress is delighted to be holding its first women’s conference, Winning With Women with a special ticket price for LWN members. Part of the Campaign for a Labour Majority, the conference will take place at Camden town hall, central London, bringing together people from across the Labour movement to discuss the role that women in the party and the electorate will play in winning Labour a majority in 2015. The conference will feature contributions from a range of fantastic women from across the Labour movement, including a keynote speech from Harriet Harman MP, and many LWN graduates.
