Sian Humphries is Labour Women’s Network’s Training Officer.
Before joining LWN she worked for more than 15 years in higher education, and before that, in the media.
A graduate of LWN training (including being a proud alumna of the Jo Cox Women in Leadership scheme), Sian is also involved in local politics in her hometown of Hull, standing as a council candidate and serving on her CLP Exec.
She’s also a campaigner on issues such as violence against women and girls, and workplace menopause policy. As the parent of a child with autism, Sian cares deeply about SEND provision, and as a school governor and volunteer for a school uniform charity, actively campaigns for better support for families on the breadline.
Outside of politics, Sian likes running, red lipstick and watching noisy punk bands. As a gluten free person, she is on a longstanding quest to find a decent GF croissant.
