It's been a busy and turbulent time in politics lately, and you may be looking for some advice, support, or simply to talk with sisters in the same boat. That’s exactly what our LWN Members’ Advice Surgery is here for.

You could have a question about the Labour Party: 'I'm a new member, how do things work?' or 'how do I get more involved?' or ‘I want to be more active round policy, where do I start?’

It could be about your own political journey: ‘I stood in the election, it didn’t go my way, and now I feel stuck - what now?' or 'I got elected, how do I make an impact as a changemaker?' or 'I was inspired to make a difference, where do I start?'

To help with any questions you have, we will be hosting our Advice Surgery drop-in session on Wednesday 20th May from 12-1pm. 

We aim to have several experienced “agony aunts” from across all bases of the full Labour Party family on hand to answer questions, talk through your ideas, and share insights from years of experience. And if we don’t know the answer to your questions, we’ll get back to you with someone who can.

During the Advice Surgery, you can ask questions verbally, through the chat function or, if you would prefer to ask anonymously, you can DM one of the team during the session.

By RSVP'ing to this session you agree to behave in a way which supports a sisterly space and an atmosphere of sisterly respect.  Abusive or inappropriate behaviour will not be tolerated, and participants may be asked to leave.  Third party campaigning is not permitted at any LWN events. 

We ask that you don't RSVP for other people but instead ask them to RSVP directly, however if you do, you are responsible for forwarding any information on to your guests including any deadlines.

This session will not be recorded but a transcript may be taken for LWN's use only. By taking part, you agree that we may use selected images, screenshots or short video clips from the event in future communications, including other events, social media, and printed materials. We will always use these responsibly and with care.
