Join us for our November 'Let's Talk' event with Jess Phillips MP and Alex Davies-Jones MP, which will be hosted by the fabulous Baroness Ayesha Hazarika on Wednesday 26th November from 8pm till 9.15pm.

We’ve seen significant strides in tackling Violence Against Women and Girls (VAWG) since Labour came to power, much thanks to the dogged determination of Jess, Alex and others!

As well as a general ethos change in the way the Government deals with misogyny, violence against women and girls, how women are treated in the justice system and how perpetrators are dealt with; we've also seen a raft of practical measures come in to play.

Declaring misogyny a form of extremism, putting domestic abuse specialists in 999 control rooms, tackling the justice system backlogs, specialist rape units and support, making spiking a specific offense, pledging to ban the creation of sexually explicit deepfakes; strengthening stalking protection orders and piloting domestic abuse protection orders, closing the "rough sex gone wrong" loophole so it covers intentional strangulation or restricting another person's ability to breathe, tough rules around porn access...

These are all huge achievements which show the difference that a Labour government and Labour women make to women’s lives. But this is just the start...

We are delighted to welcome Jess and Alex to join us for the evening, as their Ministerial briefs go hand in hand to provide joined-up leadership and action to make women and girls safer.
