Join us for our November 'Let's Talk' event with Jess Phillips MP and Alex Davies-Jones MP, which will be hosted by the fabulous Baroness Ayesha Hazarika on Wednesday 26th November from 8pm till 9.15pm.
We’ve seen significant strides in tackling Violence Against Women and Girls (VAWG) since Labour came to power, much thanks to the dogged determination of Jess, Alex and others!
These are all huge achievements which show the difference that a Labour government and Labour women make to women’s lives. But this is just the start...
We are delighted to welcome Jess and Alex to join us for the evening, as their Ministerial briefs go hand in hand to provide joined-up leadership and action to make women and girls safer.

Jess's Ministerial responsibilities include violence against women and girls (VAWG), safeguarding, rape and serious sexual offences, violent crime and domestic abuse, child sexual abuse and exploitation, modern slavery and spiking.
Before becoming an MP, Jess worked for Women’s Aid in the West Midlands developing services for victims of domestic abuse, sexual violence, human trafficking and exploitation. She was elected to Birmingham City Council in 2012 and was appointed Birmingham’s first ever Victims’ Champion in the same year.
Jess is a graduate of Labour Women's Network training schemes.
