This June marks ten years since our friend and former Chair of Labour Women’s Network, Jo Cox, was assassinated in her Yorkshire constituency. Jo was a fierce campaigner and proud feminist who led Labour Women’s Network from 2011 until her election as MP for Batley and Spen.

As a graduate, you know the Jo Cox Women in Leadership programme was founded in Jo’s memory by LWN and the Labour Party, serving as a lasting feminist legacy.

To mark the 10th anniversary of Jo's death, LWN has gathered reflections from graduates to serve as a permanent archive of the Programme. We are also planning a special event so that we can come together to celebrate Jo’s life and her LWN legacy.

Over the past decade the Programme has trained over 450 Labour women. Unfortunately, our budget does not allow us to host an in person event for all graduates so instead, we are allocating a set number of places for graduates to ensure that all of the eight cohorts are represented and that the guest list reflects the proud breadth and diversity of the Programme.

We are delighted to invite you to express an interest in attending this anniversary event, which will take place on the evening of 8th July in central London.

If you would like to be considered, please reply below by 9am on the 15th June at the very latest.

Please note that submitting the form does not guarantee a place, as the guest list will be balanced across cohorts.

For graduates who are unable to attend in person, we are already planning a special online event and we will share more information about this in the coming weeks.

Unfortunately, we are unable to offer any bursaries or cover any travel or expenses to attend this event.
