Katherine is a senior Councillor in the London Borough of Hounslow where she holds the Cabinet portfolio for Climate, Environment and Transport. 

Originally from Greater Manchester, Katherine lived for several years in Ireland where she joined the Irish Labour Party and was elected chair of its women’s section, running a successful campaign to introduce legally binding gender quotas for general election candidates, as well as campaigning for abortion rights. 

Katherine has a doctorate in chemistry and works in health research funding. She was re-elected as the LWN Treasurer in 2024 and is on our Training team.
