Katherine is Deputy Leader of the London Borough of Hounslow where she holds the Cabinet portfolio for Climate, Environment and Transport Strategy. 

Originally from Greater Manchester, Katherine lived for several years in Ireland where she joined the Irish Labour Party and was elected chair of its women’s section, running a successful campaign to introduce legally binding gender quotas for general election candidates, as well as campaigning for abortion rights. Since moving back to the UK, she has volunteered for Abortion Support Network, a charity that helps women who need to travel to have an abortion.

Katherine has a doctorate in chemistry and works in health research funding. She was re-elected as the LWN Treasurer in 2022 and is on our Training team.
