We are delighted to invite you to our first in-person event since March 2020...

Sisterly Saturday: Smashing Structural Sexism Together which is part of our Labour Party Conference fringe program.

We are thrilled to have confirmed an exciting panel of leading feminist campaigners:

Chair: Abena Oppong-Asare MP, Shadow Exchequer Secretary & LWN Chair
Christine McAnea, General Secretary of Unison
Tulip Siddiq MP, Shadow Minister for Children & Early Years, and flexible working campaigner
Dame Diana Johnson MP, former schools minister and abortion equality campaigner
Alex Davies-Jones MP,
Shadow Minister for Northern Ireland and Women & Equalities Committee member
Cllr Anntoinette Bramble,
Deputy Chair Local Government Association & Deputy Mayor of Hackney

Join LWN for an upbeat but honest evening calling out the structures of sexism we still need to tear down, charting women's progress, and celebrating the role of sisterhood in boosting our resilience and emboldening us for the fight.

The event will be held on Saturday 25th September 2021, in Arundel 2, Holiday Inn, Brighton from 8pm till 9.30pm and will include a drinks reception at the start (the Holiday Inn is not in the secure zone of Conference, therefore a conference pass is not required to attend).

Because of Covid-19 restrictions, places are limited to first come, first seated and unlike other years we will not be allowed to have a packed out event.

We aim to record the event and post on our social media after conference, depending on the strength of the WIFI at the venue we will try to FB Live too.

No registration is require as it is first come, first seated on the evening.
