We would like to welcome you to attend our virtual annual general meeting (AGM) on Saturday, 19th September 2020.
At our AGM we also announce the results of our Management Committee Elections, and if required make any changes to the constitution as well as hear reports from officers
Our AGM is normally held at Labour Party Annual Conference, but due to Covid-19 restrictions and the cancellation of Labour Party Conference, we have decide to hold our AGM via a digital platform.
LWN members will need to pre-register to attend, the deadline to register to attend our AGM is Thursday, 17th September by noon. This is to allow us time to verify all attendees are members, and take appropriate measures to keep members safe.
The AGM will start promptly at 9.30am, with the virtual waiting room opening from 9.15am. We will try to finish the business part of the AGM by 10am, so those who have registered for WOMEN CONNECTED can participate fully. There will be a cut off time when the waiting room will close; this will be at 9.35am, so please join the Zoom call before then.
You will receive an email from us on Friday 18th September with all the Zoom links and security details. For safeguarding reasons, we ask that you do not share Zoom security links with anyone else. If you know an LWN member who would like to attend the AGM, please ask them to register separately.
If you have never used Zoom before and would like a bit more information on how Zoom works, please click here for a tutorial.
Please be sure to use the name you have signed up to the event with as your Zoom display name, this will be a massive help in the Zoom waiting room (you may not be allowed entry to the meeting if we cannot identify you).
We expect all LWN events to be conducted in an atmosphere of sisterly respect. Abusive or inappropriate behaviour will not be tolerated and participants may be removed.
As well as the AGM, we have another event running via WOMEN CONNECTED on Saturday, 19th “LWN in Conversation – Labour’s Leading Feminist Movement”. You can find out more on our events page, and see all the other virtual events we are running over the next few weeks.
UPDATE (18/09/2020, 11.42am) Registration is now closed.
