Our ‘Time to Lead’ programme is specifically designed for women looking to advance their leadership roles in local government. Women make up only around a quarter of council leaders, and LWN is determined to support sisters to take up these roles in the future. 

So, if you are a woman councillor with ambitions to lead your local authority, this course could be for you.  

We are looking for:

•   Female councillors with significant experience of local government

•   Already in a senior role such as cabinet member or committee chair

•   Women who are ambitious about their future, with the potential to lead in the next few years 

•   Keen to gain the knowledge and skills needed for their path to leadership 

•   Ready to be part of a network of senior local government sisters, supporting each other as they climb the ladder
