Hello, I’m Jane, LWN’s National Organiser or otherwise known as ‘Queen of Operations’ and have worked for LWN for over 9 years now.

I’m the one that organises us so we have barnstorming events like our gala dinner, organises the training logistic, provides top notch graphics and lots of important bits in-between like taking care of all the finance, membership, our elections, website/tech and Conference.

Before LWN, I ran my own successful bridal business, I was part of a PR team who brought Pele and Desmond Tutu to Stoke-on-Trent, have worked for several MPs and was a Labour Party Regional Organiser in the West Midlands for a number of years.

I’ve been a Councillor and was a European candidate in the 2004 Elections.

I love open water swimming and all things muddy (having been an Alpha Wolf for two years). And find happiness and joy swimming in cold lakes in the Winter. I’m competitive and love a challenge, so having nearly got to France by swimming the English Channel in October 2021, I think my next swimming adventure will be swimming the length of Loch Lomond or an official Ice Mile, or both...

I live in Staffordshire now but I'm Yorkshire born and bred. I have two children, Joseph who is 15 and is a budding musician and Lyra who is 10 and is such a beautiful soul. Lyra has complex needs including epilepsy, along with a rare genetic condition called Atypical Cornelia de Lange syndrome (aCdLS), so just like Daddy Pig ‘I’m a bit of an expert’ on all things DNA, epilepsy and SEND.
