I am a carers ambassador for Carers UK, I chair the parent participation forum on the wirral working closely with parent carers on issues including education and social care.

I am deaf and I have experience in the barriers facing standing for election and being selected as a candidate  I have been short listed for both council and parliamentary seats and have experienced the issues facing an all women short list and the stigma attached.

I was brought up in a household were domestic violence was something I went to sleep at night to and this gave me the fight to stop others go through the same. I went from being powerless to helping others gain their lives back.

I am ex army and have plenty of life experience behind me, being in the army taught me many skills that stay with me in everything I do.
