I am Deputy General Secretary of the Co-operative Party and Chair of Welsh Labour in 2012/13.   

I have worked for the Co-operative Party for 18 years, working to promote co-operative policy and to elect co-operators at all levels.   

I have a long interest in equalities - working in the first council Equal Opportunities & Race Relations Department in the '80s, as a women's officer in a trade union and NUS. 

More recently, I launched the Co-operative Party's Women's Network to help women to help other women to get selected & elected.
