We have the authority! Radical resilience for women and young people in politics

How many of us watched the treatment of Jackie Weaver (and others) at Handforth Parish Council meeting and though that looks and sounds familiar! Either within our branch or CLPs or in our Council Chamber...

Over the decades, Labour Women’s Network has campaigned to #defuseabuse within our Party and worked to improve the culture of Party meeting and events, as well as train thousands of Labour women ready to lead!

For one night only join Labour Women’s Network in a joint event with London Young Labour and the now famous Jackie Weaver for “We have the authority! Radical resilience for women and young people in politics” event to start our #IWD21 celebrations.

We will share experiences and tenacity on how we can continue the flow of talented Labour women entering public life, and how we bypass the barriers.

Alex Davies-Jones, MP for Pontypridd
Abena Oppong-Asare, MP and Chair of Labour Women's Network
