Labour Women’s Network’s AGM will be held on:

As usual, the meeting is being held during Annual Conference week, but since the Town Hall is outside the secure area you do not need a Conference pass to attend.
We will be contacting you again soon to let you know about speakers, but refreshments will be available, and we will be announcing the results of elections for officers and committee members (see below for details of how to stand and vote). Attendance at the meeting is open to any woman who is a member of LWN and is up to date with her subscriptions. Elections
This year we will be holding elections for the Treasurer and four committee members, who will hold office for two years until 2014.
In addition, because our current Secretary has indicated that she is standing down at the AGM (so that she can concentrate on her work on LWN’s training scheme), there is also a vacancy for a new Secretary, who will hold office for one year until 2013, when the Secretary’s post will come up for election again as part of the normal two-yearly cycle.
Any paid-up member of LWN can nominate herself for any of these posts; please use the links below to find out more about what is involved in them, and to nominate yourself if you wish.
Nominations will close at 5 pm on Friday, 31 August 2012. The elections will be independently run by Electoral Reform Services, and the ballot will open on 7 September. Voting will be online for all members for whom we have email addresses, and by post for the remainder. The results will be announced at the AGM, and all nominees will be notified of the outcome by email on 30 September.

Proposals for Rule Changes
Proposals for changes to LWN’s Rules must be emailed to secretary@lwn.org.uk by no later than 5 pm on Saturday, 8 September, and will be voted on at the AGM. Members can obtain a copy of the current Rules by email from the Secretary.
