I am a freelance communications consultant with several years working in and around parliament. For many years I was an account director at hanover communications working closely with businesses across the defence sector as well as industry and manufacturing. This experience included working with GE, JLR, Serco, EADS, TCS and Jacobs Engineering.  Prior to working for hanover, I ran Labour Friends of Israel dealing primarily with foreign policy in the Middle East. I am also a research associate at the Foreign Policy Centre.   I recently helped set up the Labour Women in Business network and work closely with the party and others on issue relating to women in the workplace, female equality and childcare.  I have been an active member of the Labour party for many years in both local and national campaigns.
