I have worked within Local Government for over 12 years. I am an elected International Trade Union Official with a vast knowledge on Public Services including Health, Education, Community Services and Adult Social Care. I have served on Labours NPF and used my skills working with the National Party to deliver capitalisation funding for Equal Pay for Women in the Public Sector. I am an active party member at a local CLP level and a Treasurer in my ward and union regionally and part of the Regional core Leadership team. I introduced meeting the organising challenge nationally in my union which involved mass cultural and staff changes to shift to community campaigning and organisation. I am married with 3 children two of whom have disabilities one physical and one mental. I am the main Carer for my mother who is bipolar. I consider myself a hardworking mum that comes from a social deprived background using those life experiences to improve my own life and those of my community creating a fairer society with inclusive growth and social development.
